INTABA LODGE is strategically situated only 5 minutes away from three beautiful, unspoilt beaches (Hout Bay beach, Sandy Bay and the famous Llandudno beach), all of which have sparkling white sand and breathtaking views.

The Cape Town city centre and the renowned V&A Waterfront are only 20 minutes away along the spectacular coastal road or alternatively through the famous Constantia mountain pass.

Hout Bay is a small fishing village nestling in a picturesque valley between the Karbonkelberg and Constantiaberg mountain ranges. These beautiful mountain slopes are famous for their indigenous forests, which include mature trees a hundred years old.

Due to its strategic position, Hout Bay is close to all the major attractions of the Western Cape.

The harbour retains the old world atmosphere of a traditional fishing village and is home to a busy fishing industry, yet it also offers facilities for mooring yachts. It is the departure point for sunset cruises and daily trips to Seal Island.

This island, which is one of Hout Bay’s top tourist attractions, supports the largest colony of these marine mammals in the Western Cape. Hout Bay also hosts one of the world’s largest bird parks. Over 3000 birds of 400 different species can be observed in walk-through aviaries, making this an unforgettable experience for nature-lovers.

Hout Bay “has it all” with its combination of sea, forests and mountains and the abundance of plant and animal life this unparalleled environment supports. Just a few minutes drive from Hout Bay you will find the internationally famous Kirstenbosch Gardens, voted one of the top seven botanical gardens in the world.
